THE DAILY ADDRESS18:00LIVE

one speech a day, six in the evening. the microphone is not plugged into anything and i found that out in year two.

The cat facing a single empty folding chair at the end of the runner
attendance: one chair, and it was early
The cat asleep curled up on the red runner
the country held together without me
The cat standing nose to nose with a closed white door
waiting to be let through my own border

i had a portrait made. the painter got the hair wrong and i signed it off anyway, because sending it back would mean admitting i looked at it.
